Enrich Education delivers Children’s University across Knowsley, St Helens, Halton, Salford and Trafford. There are over 60 schools running the programme across these five areas of the North West. There are thousands more schools participating across the UK.
The Children’s University Charitable Trust has been operating since 2007 and since then it has grown in popularity due to the simplicity of the message and the impact it has in raising the aspirations and self-confidence of participating children.
The programme culminates in a full graduation ceremony, which celebrates children’s commitment to extra-curricular learning. (See the video below for a look at our Graduation Ceremonies).
When a school signs an annual Service Level Agreement (SLA) with Enrich Education, this effectively registers all of its pupils to have the chance to take part in Children’s University for that year. The SLA includes all the necessary support and tools to launch, administer and promote the programme, as well as the school’s own graduation ceremony at the end of the year. This includes the provision of everything that goes into the ceremony, such as caps, gowns, certificates and photographs.
Participating pupils need to achieve 30 hrs of validated extra-curricular learning in order to receive the first National certificate – a Bronze Award. They can then continue to strive for higher certifications throughout their learning journey with Children’s University.
