Enrich Education offers schools a choice of packages which can support the delivery of the PE and Geography curricula, through Outdoor Learning Fieldwork and Adventurous Activities, including the provision of a school-specific orienteering map, staff training and resources.
“Pupils should be taught to take part in outdoor and adventurous activity challenges both individually and as part of a team.” (Taken from the current PE National Curriculum)
“Use the eight points of a compass, four and six figure grid references, symbols and key (including the use of Ordnance Survey maps)…” (Taken from the current Geography National Curriculum)
“In order to deliver an orienteering programme that will enable progression within your school and beyond, we would recommend that you commission the production of an orienteering map .” (British Orienteering)
Option 1: Mapping and Markers — Provision of a computer generated, accurate and professional looking map (example below) along with orienteering course markers. Our team will meet with school staff at least twice, in order to ensure accurate and appropriate surveying and cartography. Your school course will be plotted with 15 markers as per the completed map.
Option 2: Mapping and Markers + Staff Training and Resource Pack— In addition to Map and Markers, the school will receive staff training along with a resource pack (Click to see syllabus page as a sample from the pack) including a variety of Outdoor Learning activities (particularly orienteering) along with links to PE and Geography curricula.
