Physical Phonics Resource, Mapping & Markers

The ‘Physical Phonics Resource Pack’ contains a collection of over 40 phonics games which offer a different approach to supplementing and reinforcing children’s phonics skills, combining phonics learning with fun physical activity and opportunities to take learning outdoors.

The phonics games and activities can be used to deliver combinations of letters and words that suit the needs of the children involved and teachers will be able to select from the wide range of games and activities that are included. Our pack can be used to complement and add variety to a school’s existing phonics programme, regardless of which programme the school currently follows. They are particularly suitable for children who engage best as kinaesthetic learners. 

A custom-made phonic specific orienteering map complemented with 10 markers and resource. Ideal for your foundation stage or KS1 area and utilised as an active, innovative way to teach phonics and numeracy outdoors.

Each control marker (135 mm x 190 mm) is a premium quality composite panel made from aluminium composite materials featuring two 0.30mm aluminium sheets, sandwiching a polyethylene core. Designed in a different colour to the standard orienteering markers to stand out and avoid confusion.   

Providing a very strong and sturdy resource that will stand up to the rigours of the British weather.

Mapping & Markers 

Your school will be provided with a computer generated, bespoke and specialised orienteering map accompanied with 15 high quality aluminium composite panel markers.

Outdoor learning & active science resource packs

Your school will receive a hard and electronic copy of both the ‘Outdoor Learning Fieldwork & Adventurous Activities’ and ‘Active Science and Fieldwork’ resource packs. Complimenting aspects of the Maths, English, Science, Geography and PE national curriculum. 

The ‘Outdoor Learning Fieldwork & Adventurous Activities’ and ‘Active Science and Fieldwork’ resource packs have been developed in collaboration with head teachers, teachers, former Ofsted inspectors and education consultants, with years of experience in primary education curriculum planning and delivery.


60 hand held compasses forming an essential addition to the school’s outdoor learning offer. Enhance pupils  engagement and learning through this tactile resource.  

Remote Training

The 1st4Sport Endorsed remote whole school training to ensure that your staff are supported in implementing and developing this new outdoor learning provision. Recording of the training session will be provided to the school for future reference.
