CHILDREN’S UNIVERSITY ‘HARRY POTTER’ EVENT
AT LIVERPOOL HOPE UNIVERSITY
Children’s University and Liverpool Hope University are teaming up to offer year 5 and 6 pupils an exciting opportunity to attend a fun, educational and interactive session in a real University setting.
Exploring Harry Potter and Hogwarts. Children will be exploring the books through different activities and playing and learning more about the game of Quidditch. The session will have a literacy and sports focus.
The session is completely free and each attendee will receive 2 learning hours / credits towards their overall Children’s University certification.
SATURDAY 10th NOVEMBER AT LIVERPOOL HOPE UNIVERSITY, LECTURE THEATRE COMPLEX, TAGGART AVE, CHILDWALL, L16 9JD. PROGRAMME DETAILS 9.45 – 10.00 Arrival and registration 10.00 – 10.15 Welcome to Liverpool Hope & Children’s University 10.15 – 11.45 Children will take part in the following sessions during this time Literacy – Taking inspiration from the books the participants will look at Harry Potter and Hogwarts Sport – Participants will learn all about the different roles and rules in a game of Quidditch and get to take part in the Muggle version of the game (Unfortunately flying broom sticks not included) 11.45 – 12.00 Sign Out and Optional Campus Tour (parents / carers accompany children on this part of the day) AGES – OPEN TO YEAR 5 AND 6 PUPILS (Limited Spaces Available) |
